Caste Iron Smudge Pot

Smudge pots are old style kerosene lamps or lanterns. This one, hand painted by Sheila Edwards, has been decorated with a country scene. With a rich history of being used as warning lights for road construction and runway lights for airfields, the smudge pot has now been adapted into a wonderful decorative folk art piece. This decorative folk art piece is hand painted on all sides.
